*In the book mentioned above, the recipe calls for Golden pheasant crest while the photo depicts golden pheasant tippets.

A Bob Baker pattern created in 1987 with the collaboration of his daughter Kathy. Originally tied as a steelhead pattern. it has proven itself on Atlantic Salmon rivers. There is a "bug" pattern by the same name, but Bob's pattern precedes it.

Also mentioned in the above book is a "Smurf Bug" with a red fluorescent tag, dyed blue body (deer hair) and blue or brown hackle, similar to the photo below
