Hatching Foam Pupa
Daniel Bergman
Hook - Mustad C068 or equivalent, size 12-16
Thread - Brown
Rear Body - 2mm tan foam strip, segmented with hemostat and colored with brown marker
Head cover - 2mm tan foam strip from the rear body and colored with brown marker
Thorax - Tan ice dubbing
Eyes - 50-pound mono burnt and coated with black uv resin
Tying Note
Cut the foam as wide as the width of your hemostat jaws. Heat the jaws with a lighter or other flame source and when hot, insert the foam strip into the heated jaws and close the jaws. When opened the result will be a segmented foam body.
Another option to creating the segmented body is the Hareline Material Clamp
The segmentation is only an option to create the body. If you lack the tools, then just omit the process.
Fish won't give a shit!
