Tail - Red hackle fibers
Rib - Oval silver tinsel
Body - Flat silver tinsel
Wing case: Black feather fibers
Thorax - Black dubbing
Hackle - Black hen
This pattern is a nymph-shaped version of the classic wet Butcher. The difference lies in the fact that the wing on the original has been substituted for a wing case, and a thorax of black fur is added to enhance the nymph shape. This fly is an attractor pure and simple.
