Goldie

Goldie

Hook - Down-eyed 6-12 long shank

Thread - Black

Tail - Yellow hackle fibres

Body - Flat gold tinsel

Rib - Fine gold wire

Hackle - Yellow hackle

Wing - Yellow goat hair or dyed squirrel, with black hair over

This lure, credited to Bob Church, was devised in the late 1970s for reservoir fishing. It is normally fished deep, but I have taken fish with it at all depths. It is a good lure for cloudy, muddy water.
