Thread - Black

Tail - Golden pheasant crest

Butt - Orange fluorescent thread

Rib - Silver wire

Body - Black yarn

Hackle - Blue jay or guinea dyed blue over black

Wing - Slips of bronze mallard shoulder 

American Blue Jay feathers are illegal to possess in the USA. 

Use Eurasian Jay feathers as a substitute which are legal in the USA.

Unfortunately it's illegal in the US to possess the feathers of most native songbirds even if they were shed or taken from a bird that died of natural causes. Now the FBI isn't likely to come looking for you if you have some, but just thought you should be aware. A very nice fly, by the way. I enjoy your website.
