Tail: Golden pheasant crest
Ribbing: Silver oval tinsel
Body: Black yarn
Wing: Mixed yellow and red calf tail

Could "Garry" do something that "Mickey" couldn't? I don't think I would carry both patterns and and would opt for the simpler. Dos centavos mia.

I believe the original pattern was tied with the hair from a Golden Reteiever's tail.It fished well on the Tweed River and became a popular pattern on both sides of the pond. Originated by John Wright of Sprouston, near Kelso-On-Tweed.

yes but there are no golden retrievers in my neighborhood for snippets of hair. there are many many recipes on the internet and books that i just picked one that i had the materials on hand.
